Personal:

My husband Joe is getting ready for a Triathalon.

We have 2 cats, and plan on having little ones one of these days.

I have not run consistently in over 2 years, a 10K race should be a good way to kick-start a new running program!

AARRRGGGHHH!!!!

My stupid knee is in constant pain!  I tried wearing my brace this weekend and didn't run at all, but it still hurts.  I'm less than 2 weeks away from my race...I need a MIRACLE!

Or I need my doctor to tell me it's okay to keep running.  I had to finally make an appointment (it's on Thursday) to figure out what's going on.  This is really killing my mileage reports...and my normal cheery disposition.

I'll keep you posted on what the doctor says.

Oh No. I'm glad you made an appt. I hope all goes well.

Maggie feels your pain though!

So, I'm thinking that it's unlikely that you'll want to run a 10k race in a week and a half. No sense pushing to do miles that exacerbate an injury and results in missing many more miles over the next few months. You would have to make us an awesome breakfast though, to assuage the guilt. I'm thinking crepes with freshly sliced berries and fruit with flavored homemade whipped creams for starters, but I don't want to micro-manage.

Well I'm glad you finally made a doctor's appointment. Hang in there you don't lose your milage that fast you can still make it.

Bob, it would be worth tearing every ligament in my knee to avoid cooking-by-guilt you've proposed.

Besides, would you really trust that I wouldn't put some serious laxatives in your breakfast food to sabotage the race for everyone else? If I can't run, NO ONE RUNS!!!! (insert evil laugh)

I hope your knee gets better soon. If you cannot run the Austin race, you can always join me for the Sunburst on May 31! I am only on week 2 of the training schedule. It should be fun (I'm still trying to convince myself).

Cheery disposition???
